This is a plotting post!

As said below in Permissions, Loki is a Trickster, which is the most manipulative archetype in fiction. To really be able to stretch his proverbial wings, Loki needs to be able to manipulate people. I will always ask you before having him start trying to poke your character in any direction, but if you know you would like to have Loki drag your character up into his drama, let me know here! We can work out a way for him to get under your character's skin. Right now, the long term goal he has in mind is to take over the ship so he can force it to send him home (or, rather, back to oblivion). This is subject to change! (It is worth noting that when I say long-term I mean this is destined to cover most, if not all, of his stay in the game. It will take a very long time to build up to, if it happens at all)

Remember if you decide to subject your character to Loki's manipulation and then change your mind later that is perfectly okay. I will work with you to give you an out.

FAIR QUESTIONS. The reasons I don't have his schemes listed anywhere is because, as a Trickster, he often adjusts his plans on the fly to make sure he keeps coming out on top. They're subject to change at any moment. Right now he likes having puppets AND he is a bit of a sadist AND he wants to take over the ship! He wants people to think of him as a "good guy" so they'll trust him when he leads them in a mutiny. Obviously, this mutiny is faaaar, faaaar away so OOCly I haven't bothered discussing it much yet. In the long term, he wants to take over the ship so he can force it to send him home.

One thing that is worth mentioning about Loki of Marvel 616 (comics) is that he is basically THE Trickster of his universe. He manipulates, deceives, lies, and causes mischief because it's all he knows. It's in his nature to do these things. Being honest and straightforward is hard for him. The only time in the canon he wasn't lying to people was when he was trying to convince everyone he'd changed when he hadn't. So, he was NOT lying as a way of covering a lie. CONFUSING. What this means is that even if there were things he could accomplish without deception he wouldn't really know how to go about it. Or, more likely, it would not occur to him. He is sort of trapped in this cycle (which, actually, is why he wants to go home!)

Ah, yeah, I see! So if I'm not reading this wrong, as far as CR goes this is more of a post to see who would like to establish CR and probably be willing, in the future, to get messed around with a la Lokis? And like as it gets closer to Big Plots hash it out with you on the details of how that would go down.

Yep! And if people have specific ideas on how they'd like to see their characters be messed with, I can try to accommodate that, too. It's sort of a Trickster Catch-All. Playing a master manipulator requires willing participants but it's also really easy to accidentally step on toes so I'm trying to be careful with that.

Dude that sounds great! As far as this guy goes, it might take some fine tinkering because NOT ONLY is he a paranoid bastard by nature, but after eight months on the ship with Russia (the other extreme paranoid bastard of Hetalia) he's wary of everything times a billion.

BUT if you like PM's or have a Plurk we can work that out and let Loki sidestep the big things.
